  1. All travelers on the true path reach a point in the seemingly endless journey where futility has the power to drain all ability of continuation.
It is seen at this point that the road seemingly goes on forever and the very thought that over the next rise would be the end is not entertained as possible anymore.
But a glance over the shoulder quickly confirms that behind lurks an equally infinite journey back to hellish mediocrity that inspired the journey to first begin.
Thus a traveler is stuck between worlds and the perils of the journey have taken their toll.
The traveler knows they are not the same person who began the journey anymore.
Too much has been lost and sacrificed along the way.
Too many wonders both beautiful and horrible have been witnessed in the solitude of the ancient and silent paths.
It is impossible to go back, yet seemingly just as impossible to move forward.
And what is forward? How much less can a person become?
How complete must the hollowing of a soul be before one can be declared as truly empty? What does it really mean to be the living dead? To walk as a ghost among the living?

The traveler feels this, at this stage in the journey, as the crushing weight of futility.
Life is seen for the lie that it is. It is impossible to buy in anymore. The bullshit is massive and the stench permeates all of human existence. The traveler is choked by it, in each moment of breathing from here on.
So the traveler sits on a rock on the side of the path and waits. They want an answer to how they can exist like this? How can they escape these feelings of despair? What they can do to move beyond these feelings?
They sense if they can move forward then somehow things will complete themselves and they can know some peace in final truth.
But this is the riddle of the journey that each traveler must solve on their own.
A past traveler can say what the journey truly is, but each new traveler must experience this uniquely, personally, in that final moment of dissolution and awaking to really know what the journey truly is.
And as all past journeyers have experienced, somewhere along the way they become lost, stray off the main path and never find it again.

The real truth that all journeyers discover is that no one ever reaches the end.

Somewhere along the way all journeyers figure it out, break of the main trail and vanish into the wilderness. They find a quiet dark place and lie down. And they never rise from that spot. In time even their bones no longer pay tribute to a successful journey.

The every day activities of life no longer have the flavor of despair.
    Each activity is fully engaged.
There is no more judgment of activity for there is no longer any judger of activities.
Indeed they have learned that this was always the way it was.
There never was any “one” or “thing” who engaged in activities.
The illusion was the belief in a doer and all the drama attendant with such a doer.
But the newly awakened journeyer now moves through life with utter freedom.
    There is no despair anymore.
The journeyer stands now as the universe itself, changing, busy and free.
All individuality or thought of individuality is gone.
There is only a movement through all of life in freedom.

There has only ever been this moment, this perfect moment of empty of life, shared in silence and solitude with shadows.

  2. ‘La ciudad’
    Constantino Cavafis

Dices: "Iré a otra tierra, hacia otro mar
    a las mismas calles. Y en los mismos suburbios llegará tu vejez;
    en la misma casa encanecerás.
Pues la ciudad es siempre la misma. Otra no busques -no la hay-
ni caminos ni barco para ti.
    La vida que aquí perdiste
la has destruido en toda la tierra.

  3. Hexagrama 15.

    Heinrich Zimmer
